Whether you are just starting on your kombucha brewing journey, or have some experience, we offer a customizable virtual or in-person class to suit every brewing need. For beginners, we walk you through the entire process, from first fermentation to flavoring and bottling, as well as SCOBY care. More seasoned brewers can get one-on-one trouble-shooting advice and delve into more complex flavoring ingredients.

Choose between our Virtual and In-Person Options:

VIRTUAL COURSE

• Virtual One-on-One 60-Minute Session: Includes a standard SCOBY and 8oz of starter ($65); OR Includes a full-size Radical Booch-Brewing Kit ($95). Both options include shipping costs and are delivered to your door.

Our Virtual Sessions (via Skype or Zoom) will guide you through the entire brewing process. If you're already brewing, and need to trouble-shoot or gain new techniques or flavor ideas, we will create a session just for you! We will demonstrate the entire process of First Fermentation, brewing the tea in real time; we will then demonstrate the process of Second Fermentation, which includes bottling and flavoring. The session will also include a SCOBY health demonstration, followed by a detailed Q&A, where we will cover any questions you may have.

If you are interested in a GROUP Virtual session, please book the One-on-One virtual session (the SCOBY only or the Brewing Kit option), and then select “Additional student —SCOBY Only” ($35) OR “Additional Student— Radical Kit” ($50) from the drop-down menu.

Our class size limit for virtual sessions is 50 students. Shipping is included for the first 20 students; after that, a flat rate shipping and handling cost of $15 will be applied to each additional student.

Classes are booked a minimum of 2 weeks in advance. Once the Virtual class is purchased, you have 5 days to receive a full refund if you decide to cancel. After that, no refunds will be issued.

IN-PERSON COURSE

All in-person sessions are for L.A. County area only. The class is 90 minutes.

Option 1: We travel to your location
$150 for a One-on-One session, including our 1 gallon Radical Booch-Brewing Kit, and a Radical Booch tasting; gas and travel are included in the price.

Option 2: The session is at our brew space in Santa Clarita
$95 for a one-on-one session, including our 1 gallon Radical Booch-Brewing Kit, and a Radical Booch tasting of 3 different flavors.

If you are interested in a GROUP In-Person or Virtual session, please select the One-on-One session and then add “Additional student —SCOBY Only” ($35) or “Additional Student— Radical Kit” ($75) from the drop-down menu. Our class size limit for in-person sessions is 45.

You will be emailed instructions on setting up your session, once the purchase is made. SCOBY is shipped free to U.S. addresses only. Canadian shipping is an additional $20 shipping per person, and can be added here.

If you are concerned specifically whether your SCOBY may be moldy, then choose our SCOBY Health + Care Course. You can send us a photo of your potentially molded SCOBY, and we will closely examine it and will give you an in-depth analysis. If you have mold, we will provide you with expert tips on how to avoid it next time and make sure your SCOBY stays in tip top shape.
