Pepino Melon with Lavender Syrup and Pear

On its own, the delightfully-striped Pepino Melon is a cross between a cucumber and a cantaloupe, leaning closer towards cucumber. Although it's not particularly sweet, its flavor is quite unique. When added to second ferment, and blended with our special lavender syrup and a bit of pear, it becomes absolutely divine: Perfectly sweet and beautifully fragrant, with a nice bite, and wonderful fizz. This is the kind of flavor that would turn a kombucha naysayer into an aficionado.

Tea base: Assam and Sencha
