A Taste of Dallas

Everything is big in Texas—including the kombucha selection! Not only are there over 10 different brands of booch in the state, but there's no shortage of fun eateries and hang-outs to experience it. Dallas, in particular, has a great selection of spots that serve local booch, on tap and bottled, and we've narrowed them down to our favorite three finds.

El Palote Panaderia
2537 S Buckner Blvd, Dallas, TX 75227

This is not your average Mexican joint. El Palote Panaderia is 100% vegan, and 100% amazing. Lines are nearly out the door at this place, even on a sweltering Thursday evening. It's easy to see why: This family-owned operation prepares authentic Mexican food, which includes an awe-inspiring selection of Mexican pastries. The menu is compact—just 8 items total—yet it's rich with flavors. The flautas (pictured) are perfection. You can choose between six different styles of soy meats, which are generously stuffed into the perfectly fried rolled taco, and dressed with cashew and avocado sauces. Their refried beans may be the best we've ever had, and coupled with an icy booch (Dallas' Holy kombucha is served here in four different flavors), the whole experience is a highly memorable one.

V-Eats Modern Vegan
3011 Gulden Ln,
Dallas, TX 75212

Featuring a beautiful outdoor patio that's almost as big as the interior space, this place exudes contemporary Dallas. Creatively prepared dishes mix classic Tex-Mex with Italian and Southern comfort fare like Brisket Sliders and Chicken Fried Steak. And for booch-heads, there is a super local kombucha called Jewel—so small-batch that it's poured directly from the 2 gallon spigoted vessel delivered by the brewer. There are always two flavors to choose from, and our pick was Grape, which was smooth and lightly sweet, and paired perfectly with our rich and savory avocado boat!

Spiral Diner and Bakery
1101 N Beckley Ave,
Dallas, TX 75203

Spiral Diner is a true comfort food lovers' paradise. This all-vegan retro-style diner serves up hearty portions of every kind of imaginable fare—from their famous "Nacho Supremo" and gooey mac & cheese to melty quesadillas and loaded burgers, gigantic salads and an all-day breakfast, which includes this messy, savory, "Viva Las Migas" tofu scramble! Wash it all down with an ice cold bottle of booch—they've got nearly a dozen flavor selections from Dallas' own Holy Kombucha! And try not to drool when you gaze at their dessert section;
