Just a simple strawberry kombucha, made a bit more complex by the choice of tea we used. This time, it was a hojicha, which is a traditional Japanese green tea that is roasted fresh and therefore has a more robust flavor than a lot of other green teas. It brews into this gorgeous amber color and has a bit of nuttiness to it, with caramel notes. We love how beautifully it blends with simple flavors like strawberry.
Tea base: Hojicha Green Tea
Second ferment ingredients: Fresh strawberry.
