Current booch selection: Aqua ViTea (on tap & bottled); Buchi (bottled)
Signature dishes: Chili Dog & Fries Burger; VBurger Double
A booch and a burg—what a perfect combo. At VBurger in Manhattan’s Union Square, you can get both, and both are dynamite. All the burgers are plant-based, and they are really damn tasty. It’s like the all-American burger without the heart-attack factor.
The burgers here are divine. So much flavor. One of the patties is cauliflower-based, so it had this nice crispness to it.
As cor kombucha, they have four taps of Aqua ViTea flowing, so we decided to blend a few flavors: Hibiscus Ginger Lime and Blood Orange. It was such a lovely mix: The punch of the ginger and lime with the perfect, dry and subtle sweetness of the blood orange.
In addition to the on-tap selections, VBurger also has bottled booch in their fridge. Seriously, what could be better than ordering a juicy burger and then pouring yourself a frothy cup of booch? The tap station is self-serve, so you can customize your blend whichever way you like.
VBurger is the brainchild of Robert Cox, who comes from a finance and real-estate background. A vegan for over a decade, he decided that New York City needed a fast-food-y, plant-based burger joint that also serves booch—and we’re so glad he followed his gut.
