Conscious Kombucha is definitely one of our all-time favorites. The booch is wonderfully crisp, perfectly carbonated and the flavors are amazing. These two here are Apple Ginger (left), which is seasonal, and Cherry. Apple Ginger has the mild kick of ginger combined with the nice sweetness of apple. Such great bite. Cherry is incredibly satisfying. It’s juicy and bold, with a little tart and a little sweet.
Conscious achieve their wonderful flavors by taking their green-tea-based original flavor (which they call the OG and which contains other fruit blends like papaya and peach), and then add 5% juice of the chosen main flavor. So when you’re tasting Cherry, you’re also tasting a little bit of peach and other fruity notes! They’re also available in refillable growlers, which we adore, and will sometimes use to bottle our own home-brews.
Tyler Beerman is the founder, visionary and brewer behind Conscious, and he is something of an industry maverick. Currently, Conscious is sold on tap all over SoCal, and the demand has skyrocketed over the past two years. To create more supply, Conscious is in the process of building a new brewery.
For Tyler, the road to becoming a kombucha brewer and entrepreneur began after he was involved in a serious car accident that left him with mild brain damage. As part of his recovery, he was determined to supply his body with only the healthiest foods. That’s when his girlfriend came home with a bottle of kombucha, and Tyler became hooked. Eventually, he quit his corporate job and decided to become a boochpreneur.
