Rowdy Mermaid was a true revelation for us, when we first tried it two years ago. It completely blew us away and tasted unlike any other booch we had tried before, or since. This is craft kombucha at its finest, with flavors that are unique and nuanced. You can literally taste the love that goes into these brews.

Autumn Haze is a complex brew, with notes of vanilla and ginger and maple. It's perfectly fizzy, with this wonderful balance of sweetness and dryness, with notes of ginger, fennel, turmeric and coriander, which all combine to a flavor that reminded us of maple syrup! And that packaging: We are in love with the bottles, the logo and label design.

Flower Grow tastes like liquid roses in the best possible way. It contains rose petals, chrysanthemum and chamomile buds, holy basil and hibiscus. It's light and a little bit tart and has a beautiful rose color.

Living Ginger, meanwhile, is THE best ginger flavored booch we've ever tasted. Such amazing, perfect fizz and bite. In addition to ginger, it has Tasmanian pepperberry, which is commonly used as a spice. There are notes of lemon and vanilla in there too.

Rowdy Mermaid’s Boulder brewery, which doubles as a tap room, is located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains and uses filtered Colorado snowmelt in its booch. It’s a bright, airy space that has become a local favorite. On any given day, they have at least five flavors on tap.

It’s a space that founder Jamba Dunn began visualizing many years ago, when he was brewing kombucha at home for his daughter, while working an unsatisfying corporate job. One day, a co-worker implored him to pursue his passion fearlessly, and Jamba began holding kombucha parties at his house, as well as dropping off containers for friends and neighbors. Fast-forward to several years later, and the dream of having kombucha tap room is now a reality. Jamba left the corporate job and today he is living his passion. So inspiring!
