Meet Ally and Dave Yancey, the daughter-and-father duo behind Oregonic Tonic, one of the nation’s—finest kombucha brewers, and we say this without bias or exaggeration. They make A+ kombucha. Their kombucha is like scoring 100 on the finals. It’s just really up there on the quality spectrum.
Inside those vats is one of their brews. They make six different flavors, some of them seasonal. They don’t second ferment; instead, the flavor is added in first fermentation, which lasts a minimum of 3 weeks. Their booch is complex and robust. It’s the kind of kombucha you would drink with your dad. Which makes sense, because Dave is a dad! To three daughters, including Ally, who is his full-time director of operations, responsible for everything from brewing to labelling to bottling, and everything in between. All at the tender age of 24. Their partnership is incredibly endearing and touching to see. And you can taste the love in their brews.
Their Ginger is one of tastiest, most perfect ginger booches we've ever had. It has that nice punch of ginger that mellows out as it goes down. There's a beautiful unfiltered purity to it. White Peach is another standout with soft notes of peach, but the same robustness as their other brews.
