Kombucha and Cuban food go so well together—who knew! The owner of Equelecua in Inglewood, CA, took her grandma's traditional Cuban recipes and completely veganized them. The result is one of the best meals we've ever had.Pictured here are the Camarones Al Ajillo, which is seasoned with seaweed powder, and is completely plant-based seafood that tastes authentically Cuban. The plate comes with these plantains that are mind-blowing. And that Cuban sandwich—so much cheese and flavor!

We washed all this yumminess down with Shamanic Booch, which is also brewed in Inglewood, and is stocked in two flavors at Equelecua Cuban Cafe. The flavors are mostly fruity—there's Guava, Strawberry and Tropical Tumeric, which was actually inspired when brewer Dino was strolling through Costco one day, and spotted a blend of frozen fruits, like peach, mango, pineapple. He experimented with the combo and then added some turmeric to it, and created a fizzy, sweet-and-earthy bright yellow concoction that is really satisfying.
