Strawberry Basil

This Strawberry Basil kombucha is sweet and oh so fresh—a perfectly crisp and fizzy brew that tastes like an organic garden! And you only need two ingredients!

Tea Base: Sencha+ Assam + Jasmine (5 tbsp of loose-leaf total, in equal parts of each tea, per 1 gallon of spring water)
Second ferment ingredients (per 12 oz bottle): Fresh, organic strawberries, diced or pureed (1.5 tbsp); Fresh, organic basil (1/2 tbsp).

Process:
Brew your kombucha to your usual tart/sweet preference. As with the previous recipe, we blended our 3 favorite teas: Sencha, Assam and Jasmine to give extra depth to the flavor profile.

Finely chop the basil and set aside. Finely chop the strawberries and set aside. You can also mash the strawberries for this recipe, or juice them whole, in which case we highly recommend the Omega Juicer.

Add your chopped or pureed/juiced strawberries to your bottle, by hand, or using a funnel. Add your basil to the bottle by hand. Pour in your finished booch, seal the bottle tightly, label and date, and set aside for 3-5 days at room temp to second ferment.
